Our wedding is on Friday, May 4, 2018 – Star Wars Day!
The ceremony will begin at 4PM. Please arrive 30 minutes prior so that you can find a seat and get settled in.
This wedding is “Semi-Formal” – This means you don’t have to attend in a tuxedo or full length gown, but are welcome to if you’d like. We recommend your “Sunday best”.
Because this wedding is being held outdoors in a grass area, we highly recommend that you dress for South Carolina spring weather and wear comfortable flats (the bride will be!)
You also have the option of dressing up like your favorite Star Wars character! Yes… we totally invite you to cosplay at our wedding.

In all seriousness, we are doing something a little different and you won’t have to worry about what colors you are wearing on our special day.
Your invitation includes a +1. You are welcome to bring a date. Please indicate on your RSVP card if you are bringing a date so that we have enough chairs.
While we truly love your children, we do ask that you not bring your children as the wedding is being held at a local monastery. We wish to be respectful of the venue.
Our wedding reception (however fun it would probably be for children), isn’t really going to be kid-safe. Please plan accordingly – we’re happy to make recommendations for sitters in the area!
We are having what’s called an “Unplugged Wedding” – which means that you will be asked to either leave your phones in your vehicle, or to place it in a designated basket during the ceremony. It’s so important to us that you are truly present and you can’t do that if you are concerned about taking pictures.
We have hired a wonderful photographer that we are paying good money for. Please be respectful and allow her to do her job.
Our reception is being held outdoors at a pavilion in our neighborhood. We will provide you with directions to Moss Grove Plantation immediately following the ceremony. It’s approximately a 20 minute drive.

The wedding reception will be from 6-9PM. You are of course welcome to stay for any duration that you like.
Absolutely! We’d rather our guests be comfortable so that they can enjoy themselves. There is a 1 hour interlude between the ceremony’s end and the beginning of the reception to account to travel time and so that you may change clothes if you’d like.
Bathrooms will be available to you and/or our home on request during that hour.
Yes! We will have an assortment of food available, including catering from Jim ‘N Nicks BBQ, veggie & fruit plates, themed snack foods, and of course… wedding cupcakes. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know – we’d love to do our best to accommodate.
In order to keep our big day cost efficient, we will be serving 2 signature drinks. You will get a drink ticket so that you can enjoy one of each! We’ll also have soda and water.
Yes. In addition to the pavilion bathrooms, we will also have access to such amenities at the Moss Grove clubhouse and our home is available if needed.
It might not be very good, but yes… there will be dancing. We have hired a wonderful DJ for our reception and he will be playing music for the duration of the reception.
